What’s a shul without members?  Our members make Beth El what it is, and only through growing our membership can we reach the potential of what Beth El can be.  That’s why our Membership Committee is so important for a healthy, vibrant and welcoming synagogue. We unite and connect. When new members join, we welcome them by hand delivering a kit that includes a fresh challah, a
challah cover, and other Beth El branded items. In short, we are the committee that makes Beth El a community.

That’s why we’d like you to join us. If you’d like to become more involved in building community at Beth El, join us and help make lasting and meaningful connections.

To join the Membership Committee email Cara Davis, membership@bethelyardley.org, and tell her that you’d like to help make Beth El realize its full potential.  See you at the next meeting!

Congregation Beth El Member Testimonials

"I was extremely hesitant to join a synagogue in the suburbs as a single adult without children for I wasn’t sure where I would fit in. However, the community at Beth El has been so welcoming that I feel like I have been a member for years, instead of only since just last Fall."

– Melissa F.

There is no better word to describe Beth El than "community". It has always been clear to us that we are a very diverse group of members - each bringing our own contributions and receiving much also. Beth El is our extended family and community.  Yardley is a beautiful place to live but so much better when you can be part of a Jewish community to celebrate with.

- Steve Y.

Just over 3 years ago our family moved to Yardley.  We were looking for a synagogue that just felt “right”.  From the moment my sons, husband, and I stepped foot into Beth El, we felt a connection.  The other members were so inviting and friendly and there was never any pressure to conform; it truly felt “right”.  3 years later I know that we couldn’t have made a better decision.  My children enjoy going to Hebrew School and participating in special synagogue events. They also feel very comfortable in the physical space of the synagogue with their peers and new friends.  My husband and I continue to meet new people and make new friends at the synagogue, and we are looking forward to getting to know our new Rabbi and preparing for our older son’s Bar Mitzvah in just over a year.  Beth El is truly our Jewish home away from home.

-Jen B.

I joined Congregation Beth El with my husband Alex five years ago, when we moved to Yardley after retiring.  Right from the start, Alex and I felt welcome and valued in the congregation. Beth El feels like home.

-Helene G.
