About the Book
The Auschwitz Detective is a 2020 historical murder mystery by Jonathan Dunsky set in the Auschwitz concentration camp during the summer of 1944. The story follows Adam Lapid, a former police detective who, after his family was murdered upon arrival at the camp, is forced to use his investigative skills to solve the murder of a young boy within the camp. The novel explores themes of humanity and justice amidst the horrors of the Nazi killing machine, as Lapid must navigate the dangers of Auschwitz to uncover a killer who is not a Nazi, facing threats to his own life if he fails.
