Ha'Moadon Hebrew High

Ha’Moadon, literally meaning “The Clubhouse”, is designed for 8th -12th graders and is held every Wednesday evening  at Beth El from 6:30pm - 8:45pm.  

Highlights include: 

  • Engaging format with opportunities for socialization through exciting classes, monthly dinners, and experiential programming
  • Empowering students through choosing elective classes and project based learning
  • Confirmation Class for 10th graders with Rabbi Weiss
  • Special Madrichim Track for those wishing to become Teaching Assistants in our Fierverker Jewish Learning Community (FJLC)

Ha’Moadon is open to members of Congregation Beth El as well as other interested students in the surrounding community. Call the office, 215-493-1707, for a registration form.

6:30pm - 6:45pm - Arrival and Check-In

6:45pm  - 7:30pm - Period 1

- Confirmation Class

- Jewish Ethics & Values taught through the method of Project Based Learning (students investigate questions, generate original ideas, work collaboratively to produce products that demonstrate learning and that can be applied to real life situations).

7:30pm - 8:00pm - Minyan/Special Program
Some nights we will provide a special dinner, but most nights we will provide snack and desserts. Students should feel free to bring a dairy dinner.

8:00pm - 8:45pm - Period 2
- Jewish Culture and Arts Electives (i.e., Cooking, Videography, Arts/Music…)
- Modern Jewish Values through Ancient Jewish Texts
